Tamiya 1/48 US Howitzer M8 (32604) (104)

This review will tell you more about Tamiya 1/48 US Howitzer M8 (32604) (104). Kit continues the famous line of military vehicles in unusual scale. Keep in mind that every release was notable for its details, so this one won't be an exclusion from the rule. WW2 US Howitzer might be a great weekend project or fine candidate for diorama. In both cases it should be easy to assemble, so it might be worth opening the box and taking a closer look at parts.

First frame is dedicated to hull panels. Don't worry about separate parts as there are guiding elements which should help with right alignment of all things.

Just like any previous 1/48 armor release from Tamiya, this one features track length. Such design is easier to install and also should look a bit more convincing.

Turret will have to be glued out of several panels. Here I would also recommend to think about some internal features as part of it will be visible through opening.

Decals sheet is not that big. Printing quality looks fine, and you can see all markings on the photo below.

As usual, all manuals are printed in black-and-white. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who don't have space for bigger scale, but also can't work with 1/72. Here you get an optimal balance between details and size of the build. Moreover, it is good to see figurine included, as it will help to show the size of the vehicle. I also don't have doubt that we will find some aftermarket for even more features on this M8. :)
