Fore Hobby 1/72 Scimitar Mk.2 CVR(T) (2001)

Today we are going to talk about Fore Hobby 1/72 Scimitar Mk.2 CVR(T) (2001). Frankly speaking, this is the first time I see kit from this brand. Nevertheless, model looks quite interesting even in the small scale. It is not hard to guess that finished build would be hardly bigger than matchbox, but if you like such projects, then it should be a good thing to check. As you might know, Scimitar Mk.2 is a tracked recon vehicle which is used by British army. Packaging is standard, each frame is sealed into separate plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with small scale truck.

We are going to start with the biggest frame in the kit. Here you will find hull parts as well as some minor elements.

I am glad to see that both lower and upper hull sections come as single-piece parts, which should be easier to work with. Moreover, there are a lot of things already premolded, while rear door on top hull comes as separate part.

Sprue "B" comes in pair, as here we will get track and wheels parts. All of those are molded in nice quality, but tracks assembly might take some time.

All parts look fine, but keep in mind the scale of this model. Some elements might require tweezers as it would be impossible to handle them with fingers only.

A bit more challenge will be added with help of PE parts. Those will be used for external features and look nice out of the box. Note also metal barrel which will be way better than plastic alternative. Decals sheet look fine, but there are decals only for one marking which you can see on the photo below.

Assembly manual comes in form of black-and-white brochure. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New tiny model should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting project for modelers who are up for a challenge. Some parts will require due care while installing them in place, but final result should be worth it. Moreover, I like that box contains all necessary extras and the only thing I can think of is the clear frame. Maybe figurine will be useful as well, but it might be possible to find some suitable aftermarket for this vehicle. :)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW REAL!
