This article is dedicated to Special Hobby 1/72 A.W. Meteor NF Mk.14 (SH72364). New kit offers us a chance to build night fighter version of the famous aircraft. It is based on well-known plastic, so I decided to take a closer look in order to see what has changed here. Packaging is typical and all frames come in the same plastic bag. Let's open them and check everything together.
By the way, here you can read review with Bf 109 kit in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts closer.
Here is another video with masks set for this model.
We are going to start with wing parts. Those come on the separate sprue and yes, there are only two halves to be combined together. Wing mechanization is premolded here.
Note that engines won't be empty inside and this is really good. Even though those parts might look like "simple" inserts, they should be enough for convincing look.
Cockpit floor is molded together with front nose wheel well. Even the tiniest parts look nice and should be easy to work with.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with nose cone and tail fin. Be careful while joining these areas.
Last sprue carries all necessary parts for the late versions. I would recommend to get aftermarket PE for even better cockpit look.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks fine, but masks will have to be bought separately.
Here is this accessory set with masks. You can check it in the video-review in the beginning of this article. Decals look fine and carry all necessary symbols, including some for the cockpit.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New kit should be already available, but I would recommend to hurry as they tend to sell out quickly. Overall it is a fine model, even though it is definitely not for beginners. Moreover, I would recommend to find some aftermarket in order to get more convincing appearance. Markings choice is quite interesting here, so you will definitely find something good for your build.
