Miniart 1/48 Fw 190D-9 Early Prod. Advanced Kit (48044)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 Fw 190D-9 Early Prod. Advanced Kit (48044). As you can guess from the name, set comes as more detailed version of the famous German aircraft. It is still molded in popular scale and should be interesting for all aviation fans. Advanced version should bring a bit more features in addition to what we saw earlier in the previous releases. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames are sealed into the same plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame should be familiar to some of you as it was in the previous version and carries mix of various parts. Note also landing gear wheels and fuel tanks on the separate frames.

Here is one big difference of Advanced Kit - full engine with its parts on the separate sprue. This is nicely detailed powerplant, and you can also see separate cowling panels on the photo below.

Whole nose section should be looking great out of the box, you just need to carefully assemble and paint those parts. Overall fitment should be fine based on my experience with the kit.

Miniart also doesn't skip on various armament which is included in the kit. Several types of bombs come as the standard bonus for this model.

Those two frames are similar to what we saw in the previous releases of Fw 190D-9. On the top sprue you can also see instrument panel and two versions of the pilot seat.

Advanced version will use those fuselage halves where you get cowling panels as separate parts. External features are looking great and deserve decent weathering.

Other than that parts division is really smart here as it will help with proper fitment and overall look of the result.

Clear frame comes in the separate bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can open cockpit with help of separate section.

Unpainted PE fret is another special bonus for Advanced Kit release. Those parts will be handy for some fine features on your aircraft build.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about overall printing quality. Note that even cockpit decals are included. All three marking options are shown on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this Miniart. I show all pages in the video-review.

New aircraft set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is the best Fw 190D offering in 1/48 scale, and you get all necessary things in one box. Advanced Kit is more for experienced modelers who would like to get more features in their build. Moreover, there are some aftermarket add-ons are available already, but you will have to pay more for them.
