ICM 1/48 AH-6J Little Bird (48370)

This time I am going to tell you more about ICM 1/48 AH-6J Little Bird (48370). New helicopter comes as yet another version of the small aircraft in popular scale. It is a new-tooled release which should be interesting to build as it comes with a lot of cool features out of the box. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. There are 215 parts which should assemble into a model with 182mm length. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame is the biggest here and includes fuselage halves as well as interior parts. Here you will also find rotor blades which are molded separately.

External features look great on both halves, and tail boom should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding elements inside which should help you with overall alignment.

Kit is full of small and thin parts, so be ready to spend some time with tweezers. Moreover, there are no spares offered, and it requires some due care for sure.

ICM offers few assembly options which will depend on your marking option choice. Make sure to closely follow instructions in order not to miss those areas.

Armament comes on two frames. Those rocket launchers should be easy to build, but it might be worth checking some references in order to get a fine result.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag, in order to avoid possible scratches. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

Decals are printed on one sheet, quality looks great out of the box. There are four markings in total, and two of them you can see on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New helicopter should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great offering for those who would like to have the famous heli in their collection. ICM did a cool job in copying a lot of stuff straight out of the box. You can be sure that overall result would look great even if you don't plan to get some additional items. Well, it might be good to pick at least masks for a nice paintwork on your model.
