This review will tell you more about Zvezda 1/35 ISU-152 (3721). New release comes as copy of the well-known Soviet vehicle in popular scale. I got plenty of questions from you to actually check it and see if it is worth its price, so here we have it on the table. Overall packaging style is typical for this brand, so you will find 474 parts in several bags. They should assemble into a model with 25.8cm length. Some of you might even remember that small scale release happened way back in 2015. So what took so much time and do we actually get something new here? Let's open every bag and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with small scale release of the same thing.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame comes in two pieces because here you will get roadwheels and some of the suspension parts. Overall molding quality looks fine, I didn't find any great issues here.
Drive sprockets have attachment points right on teeth, so it will be easy to separate them off the frame.
Note that kit is full of small parts, and you will have to be extra careful with some as they are very thin. Engine bay vents should be assembled one-by-one.
Towing cables are molded in plastic too. This should help with installation, but some experienced modelers would want to replace it with metal wire.
Tracks are designed as length sections with separate links for curved areas like drive sprockets. Molding quality looks fine on those and should be great for standard build.
Note that even sagging is replicated here.
Lower hull section should be assembled out of several panels. Overall design is straightforward and there is no interior in this set.
Yes, main barrel is divided into two halves, what will make the whole thing a bit tricky to get a nice finish. In a kit of this price I would expect one-piece part, so it is definitely an element to be replaced rightaway.
Floor panel and top hull section can be found on the last green frame. Note that all hatches are separate and can be open if you have some figures to place inside.
Glacis plate looks fine, and there are guiding elements which will help with positioning.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and those should be fine on the model. Masks are not included, what is typical for Zvezda.
Decals sheet is not that big, but here you will find all necessary symbols for several markings. Printing quality looks great.
Rear side of the box shows finished and painted model. Marking guide is printed in color as the separate brochure.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New release should be already available for purchase. I am not sure if this is the one I would recommend to get, especially considering that there are cheaper alternatives are available. Overall quality looks fine here, but design of the parts and amount of the features for the prices is definitely not something to see in 2026. If you are ready for such build, then it might be worth getting, but also keep in mind that some items will require immediate replacement, for example main barrel.
Thank you for your help in getting this kit for review.Pros
