ICM 1/48 UH-60A Black Hawk with Crew (48364)

This article will tell you more about ICM 1/48 UH-60A Black Hawk with Crew (48364). As the name and boxart suggest, one box will bring you a combo of the helicopter and figurines in the same scale. Such a thing might be handy not only as the solo project, but also as part of some diorama. Yes, it will take some space, but final look should be worth it for sure. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and each set is packed into separate bag. In total there are 285 parts for helicopter and 32 parts for 3 figures. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

First frames are dedicated to helicopter elements. On the one above you can find main rotor sections as well as engine nozzles.

Amount of small and thin parts is really impressive here, so be sure to have the right tools for all those things included in the standard package.

Interior is nicely copied in the kit, so it might be worth showing it on the finished model. Don't forget that one of the crew members will be in the rear section.

Fuselage panels can be found on the next frames. Overall parts division is quite smart, so you don't have to worry about gaps in some weird spots.

Here you will need only the left half and floor panel for the fuselage. Note that tail section is molded together with fuselage body.

External features look great for this scale, so you just need to pick those out with help of preshading and washes.

Chin panel is also a one-piece element, what is really great in such a big model. Cockpit will be nicely detailed, but you can get more features with help of aftermarket PE.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and masking template is also included in the kit.

Figurines are also packed separately. Here you will find three crew members, and overall parts division is somewhat similar to what we are used to see in 1/35 scale. Note that there are no guiding elements for those guys.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will get all necessary symbols. Printing quality looks great, and ICM provides some cockpit decals too. Seatbelts are not here though, so it might be a good idea to buy them separately. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and you can check all pages in the video-review.

New helicopter combo should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great value for modelers who don't want to search for two separate boxes. Overall quality still looks fine, and I like how ICM designed whole kit. Moreover, there is a plenty of aftermarket, so you can get even more features on your big bird. :)
