JasModel 1/48 Ho 229 Horten (202429)

In this article I will tell you more about JasModel 1/48 Ho 229 Horten (202429). Kit comes as as the fresh novelty from the famous manufacturer who is making PE sets only. Note that today's release is made in bigger scale, so it will definitely look even more impressive and take more space. For me it is interesting to see what is new here, and why this one might be a better choice for some modelers who deemed 1/72 scale release as too small. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so frets and parts come in sleek white box with photo boxart. Let's open it and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with resin parts first. As you can notice, those are mainly concerned with landing gear on the famous aircraft. All parts look fine, but I have no doubt that some modelers will try to add more features based on reference photos.

All other parts come on large silver PE frets. This is a standard format for JasModel, so don't be surprised with overall look. Each fret is also wrapped into film in order to avoid any possible scratches or damage.

If you take a careful look at wing part for example, you will notice that some of the elements will require bending. This is easy task with the right tools, so be sure to have several types of tweezers.

Aircraft will also feature cockpit, so it might be a good opportunity to play a bit with additional features. Well, at least pilot figurine can be handy to show the actual size of the Horten. The last fret is also the biggest one in the kit by the way.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review, each step is displayed with help of actual photos and schemes. Overall set looks like another great addition from the famous brand. In my opinion it should be fun to build for all modelers who are not afraid of working with PE. Yes, it will take some time, but it also gives you a bit more space to customize it with some additional features. This is definitely not something for beginners, but bigger scale makes it more attractive for older modelers. :)
