ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht Self-propelled AA vehicles (DS3526)

In this article I would like to tell you more about ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht Self-propelled AA vehicles (DS3526). As one can guess from the name here, one box brings several kits together. All three of them are molded in popular scale and should be interesting for dioramas or even solo projects. the main idea is that you get all kits for a bit more efficient price and you don't have to search for them separately. Overall packaging is typical for ICM, box is heavy due to amount of frames in it. Inside you will find 254 parts for le.gl.Einheitz-Pkw Kfz.4, 241 parts for E.Pkw Kfz.70 with Zwillingssockel 36 and 402 parts for Sd.Kfz.3b with Flak 38. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

First I would like to show the decals for those vehicles. You can notice that set number corresponds with the single releases issued before.

AA installation will require some new parts for the placement in the rear, and here you can see some of them. Overall design is straightforward, so you won't have any issues.

Yes, ammo boxes are also here, and this will be a useful add-on in 1/35 scale.

Each AA gun should be assembled out of several parts, so be ready to paint some of those in advance. This sprue might be familiar as it was also released as separate kit before.

Chassis is molded as one-piece element, and that gives you the right alignment straight out of the box. Just be careful with thin parts as those might be tricky to separate.

Additional equipment is also here, even though some parts are very thin and will require due care.

Wheel rims are still molded out of plastic and should be combined with vinyl tires. Such design should help you get a precise paintwork on the model.

Roof will be copied only in folded position. Here you can also see separately molded doors for the car.

You will have to deal with vinyl tires, and those look okay for standard build.

Car body should be glued out of large panels. Those should be easy to combine thanks to guiding elements inside.

Clear parts are molded in nice quality, but there are no masks for those.

Next we continue with the other set. Straight on the first frame you will get a mix of various external and internal parts.

Note that doors are also separate here, so you can use this feature for some diorama ideas.

AA version will require few different parts, so be sure to follow the assembly manual.

It is nice to see the engine copied in this kit as well. Might be worth exposing it on the finished model too.

Thin parts will require due care, so be sure to have good plastic saw for a precise separation.

Clear parts look as good on the previous set. There are no masks for this one either.

AA gun parts come on the separate frame, and those can be considered as separate kits.

Last set is for the truck. Here you can see straight panels for the front cab assembly.

This one features plastic wheels, but you can also find some aftermarket replacements if you want to.

As you remember, this is a halftrack truck, so you will get some fun with separate track links. There is no assembly jig, and it will take time for sure.

Engine is also included here. Another useful thing to add might be the wiring around whole model where it is necessary.

Some of the parts are given in two versions, so pay attention on what should be used in your case.

Clear frame looks great, just like on the previous two. Assembly manuals are typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great chance to get all kits at once for a bit more attractive price. Each out of three looks nice and should be fun to build. Yes, it could be good to also have figurines in such kit, but here you will have to find them separately. In my opinion this is a good pick for modelers who would like to build each of those vehicles, or maybe even share one with their friend. :)
