Heller 1/43 Lancia Delta S4 (80177)

This article will tell you more about Heller 1/43 Lancia Delta S4 (80177). New set comes as something what might be familiar to some of you as such set was released a long time ago. The main change here is the new packaging and decals. I didn't have a chance to check this plastic before, so it can be a good opportunity to see what is actually copied here. Overall packaging is typical for Heller, and inside you will find 28 parts. Assembled model will be only 93mm long. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

First frame is molded out of white plastic. Here you will find interior floor, external floor and even both seats.

Front mask is also here, and it is molded together with front skirt. Overall quality looks okay, but I wouldn't say that it is impossible to guess the kit age here.

Wheels are made out of plastic as well. You can notice that rim section is molded separately and should be glued in place.

Car body comes as single-piece element, so all doors, bonnet and trunk are molded shut. Surface details are looking fine and should benefit from nice paintwork.

Clear insert comes as one-piece, what should make assembly easier. Here you can also find lenses for headlamps.

Decals are not that big, but you get all necessary symbols here. Printing quality looks fine and the only marking can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for Heller. I show all pages in the video-review.

Lancia should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a fun small kit for modelers who would like to work with such scale. Overall quality looks okay, but it is difficult not to guess the age of the set. Assembly won't take a lot of time, but the final result will also depend on your painting skills. I am mentioning this as there are no masking templates for the car body and you will have to carefully replicate the original pattern.
