Miniart 1/48 P-47M Thunderbolt Advanced Kit (48032)

This article will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 P-47M Thunderbolt Advanced Kit (48032). As you can guess from the name, set copies the famous American fighter aircraft in one of its versions. The main differences were a bit more powerful engine, higher max attitude and some minor changes in the cockpit. Well, now you can copy all this in popular scale. I reviewed the previous releases, so it will be interesting to see what is offered here. Keep in mind that Advanced Kit means some extra parts in the box, which can be useful for a bit more interesting look. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another advanced kit.

First large frame carries tailwings as well as some wing mechanization. Note that propeller should be glued out of several parts.

Kit features quite generous external equipment, so you can choose what will be placed on your Thunderbolt. Cockpit parts look great out of the box and deserve a nice paintwork.

The same can be said about the engine. Miniart decided not to play weird games here and include a nicely detailed powerplant in the standard package.

Both clear frames are packed separately to avoid possible scratches. Overall quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

From this sprue you will need only lower wing half as the Advanced Kit version uses the new top part which can be seen on the photo below. External features look great for this scale.

Yes, you can expose both gun bays on your model. In my opinion this is a great feature for such an aircraft and it will make the final result a bit more sophisticated.

Fuselage halves come as the last parts in this kit. Miniart designed both with tail fin, but without cowling section.

PE fret will be useful for some fine features on the aircraft. Those are unpainted parts, so don't forget to cover them with primer before painting.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about quality issues. There are three markings in the set, and you can check them on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it looks as great as the previous versions, but you should be ready to spend some time getting everything together. I like the inclusion of extra features in this kit, as they should be great to show in this scale. Yes, this is definitely not a thing that can be done by any novice, but final result should be worth it. The only thing that could be cool to see from Miniart is their vision on pilot figurine in 1/48 scale. :)
