ICM 1/35 G917T Truppenluftschutzwagen (35408)

This review will be fully dedicated to ICM 1/35 G917T Truppenluftschutzwagen (35408). The kit comes as combo of the German truck with AA gun in the rear section. While the truck plastic is not exactly new, I think it is still worth to see how all of those things work together, and whether it will be easy to get the same thing as on the boxart. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so kits are separated into two bags. There are 275 parts which should assemble into a model with 189mm length. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another unusual truck in popular scale.

Let's start with one of the biggest frames in this kit. Here you will find roadwheels and some panels for the rear section. Note that not all of the panels will be used for the AA version.

Kit is also quite generous in terms of engine, suspension and minor features on the frame. All this should come handy in 1/35 scale.

Chassis will have to be assembled out of separate bars, so it might be a good idea to check the alignment between all parts.

Here you can see the front parts for today's version. This round grille looks fine and should be easy to install on your truck.

Whole front cab should be glued out of several panels. Note that ICM left off doors and bonnet as separate parts and they can be positioned open on your build.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks fine, but there are no masks included in the kit.

New parts include ammo boxes on several frames. All locks and handles are molded in on those panels.

FLAK will also require the special setup in order to be placed on the rear section. It should be easy to assemble, but might be worth playing with some weathering ideas.

As for AA gun itself, it should be assembled out of several parts. Here you can see the first frame with mix of various parts.

Just like in the solo release of the FLAK 38 from ICM, here you can choose between versions with or without armor panels.

Decals sheets are not that big, but should be easy to work with. Printing quality looks great, and you can check both options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to build something a bit more sophisticated than just usual truck. Overall quality looks great, so it is just a matter of deciding on which marking you would like to see.
