Miniart 1/35 G7117 1,5t 4X4 Wrecker (35490)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 G7117 1,5t 4X4 Wrecker (35490). Kit comes as yet another version of the American truck from the famous brand. It is still molded in popular scale, but this time copies the type with crane in the back. Such a thing might be a great addition for some diorama ideas or even solo project. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another version of this truck.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We start with some universal sprues, which can be seen in previous versions of the truck too. Here you will find suspension parts as well as bonnet panels and front grille molded out of plastic.

Main chassis bars come on the next frame. Both are molded together with leaf springs. Here you can also see support brackets for the tarpauline cover in the rear.

Next we see front cab panels as well as some interior bits. Note that doors and bonnet are molded separately. Weird-shaped platforms will be used for bending PE parts into necessary form.

Wrecker version parts come on the separate sprue. It is good to see that all of them are designed as one-piece element and should be easy to get together.

Plastic wheels are always welcome in 1:35 scale kit. Miniart did a great job with those and they should look nice on the finished model. Note also the engine which will be glued out of several parts.

Rear bed is quite straightforward in design. There are also some guiding elements which should help you with alignment.

Rear cover is split into several panels which should be assembled together. Surface details look great here and deserve a nice paintwork.

Unpainted PE fret should be useful for interior and exterior features. As it was mentioned already, some parts will require careful shaping.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Miniart also provides metal chain as part of the standard package. Those elements should be useful for a bit more sophisticated look on your model.

As you remember, decals are printed in Cartograf. Overall quality looks great, and you can see all options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Wrecker truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to build diorama. Just add some figurines and another vehicle, so that whole scene will be complete. Moreover, it is good to see plenty of assembly options and nicely detailed internals in the standard package. Such a thing should be standard for everyone, but today Miniart is one of the few who actually go that far to give us extra stuff in the box.
