Trumpeter 1/48 Mi-35M Hind-E (05830)

In this review I will tell you more about Trumpeter 1/48 Mi-35M Hind-E (05830). Kit comes as the modern version of the famous helicopter. There are various improvements to the original airframe, and I discuss them in detail in the video-review. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so each frame is sealed into separate plastic bag. There are more than 300 parts, so it sounds like a decent project to work on. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with smaller scale release.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with the first frame which carries mix of various parts. Here you will find landing gear wheels and separate side doors which can be assembled in open position.

This sprue comes in two pieces and is carefully wrapped with foam. Yes, it is a set of various armament, and it is nice to have it included in the standard package.

Upgraded version has shorter wings for better aerodynamic qualities, and those are copied in the kit. You can also see new engine covers for this type.

Rotor blades on the real helicopter are made out of composite material. Note that they have slight sagging, which I show in the video-review.

Floor panels can be found on the next sprue. Interior here is quite nice out of the box and deserves a careful paintwork.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Note that nose section is also there, but all hatches are molded separately.

There are some premolded features as well, but you will have to find some references in order to get a convincing appearance.

Clear frame is molded in nice quality, and looks like real glass. Hatches are molded separately and can be handy for modelers who would like to open the cockpit.

Yes, Trumpeter provides masks in today's set. They are not pre-cut, but still should be useful for a nice paintwork on your model.

Unpainted PE fret is not that big, but you will find some useful parts there.

Box also features ad leaflet which shows the main features of today's model.

Decals sheet is not that big, but printing quality looks fine. Yes, cockpit decals are also here. Note that some stencils are a bit oversimplified. There is only one marking option in the kit, it is show on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New helicopter should be already available for purchase. In one box you are getting all necessary things for a nice project in the popular scale. I like that Trumpeter provides PE and masks as well as plenty of interior features. One of the improvements can be set of resin wheels, and it will be a noticeable change on the model. This will require spending additional money, so think twice before getting it for the project.
