ICM 1/35 Fire Trucks of Ukraine (DS3527)

This review will tell you more about ICM 1/35 Fire Trucks of Ukraine (DS3527). As you can guess from the boxart, one box features two kits inside. Both are molded in popular scale and might be an interesting choice for some diorama ideas. You might have seen them as separate releases, but now they come as a combo-set. Overall packaging is typical, so each kit comes in separate bag. In total there are 295 parts for assembly of AC-40-137A tank truck, and also 330 parts for AR-2 hose truck. Let's open all sprues and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with figures set which can be handy with those trucks.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

We start with parts for KAMAZ-based AR-2 truck. On the first frame you can see large chassis bars, engine and transmission bits as well as some minor elements. Note that engine can be exposed by tilting the front cab open.

Next we see panels for the rear section. There are a lot of stowage boxes with separate lids, and this feature can be useful for some diorama builders.

Overall design is simple and straightforward, but be sure to do some dry fitment first. There are also guiding elements inside.

Clear frames look great, I didn't find any problems on those parts. The only thing you will need is masks for those.

Yes, kit features vinyl tires, just like the second one. Here tires are a bit better in terms of features on the tire walls and pattern.

Chassis will be generously detailed, so it might be worth checking reference photos and videos. Such a thing should help you get a bit more convincing result.

Front cab is separated into several panels. Note that doors are also single-piece parts and can be opened in your build.

Wheel rims are plastic and should be combined together with tires we saw earlier. There are two frames of this type.

Another truck is based on ZiL. On the first frame you can see fuel tank parts as well as chassis bars and engine halves.

Firetruck equipment comes on the separate frame. Overall design looks great and should be easy to work with.

Yes, here is another pair of chassis bars together with some water pumping equipment. By the way, rear section can be opened in order to expose this element.

Whole rear section is assembled in the same style as it was on AR-2. Note that some hatches are molded separately.

Yes, as it was said before, this kit also comes with vinyl tires. Overall quality looks okay for standard project, but you can also find aftermarket replacement.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks as good as on the previous model.

Front cab is also separated into several panels. Note that doors are molded shut and you won't be able to open them on your model.

Wheel rims come on similar small frame. Molding quality looks great, and there are no issues found.

Both decals sheets should be useful for several marking options. Printing quality looks fine, so you won't have any problems here. Assembly manuals are typical for this brand, and I show every page in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get two great models in popular scale. Yes, it would be good to get the figurines too, but I guess they were excluded to keep price in reasonable range. Overall quality looks fine out of the box, so you just need to assemble everything together. I would recommend to find some reference material which will help you get even more convincing result with this plastic.
