This review is dedicated to Meng 1/35 Type 82 Kubelwagen (VS-015). Fresh kit comes as new plastic from the famous brand. In my opinion the real subject doesn't require extra introduction, but it is always nice to have choice, especially in this scale. Whole idea is quite straightforward - car with open roof and some interior features. Overall packaging is surprisingly small, and you get only one car, unlike some other competitor offerings. Assembled model will be only 108mm long and won't take a lot of space on your shelf. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the same vehicle from different brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
As you can notice, all frames are molded out of light grey plastic. On the first one Meng placed wheel rims and jerry cans. Note that part of clamps is premolded with cans. Roof is supplied only in folded version.
Next we see a bit wider mix of parts for external and interior features. I like that seats here come as one-piece elements, and you won't have to do anything extra.
Floor panel has nicely premolded features and should also get separately installed panels. It is also a good idea to play a bit with weathering here.
Interior will be quite spartan, but it is like that on the real vehicle too. Some parts are quite small and don't have spares, so be careful during installation.
Car body will have to be glued out of separate panels. Moreover, it is easy to notice that doors are separate what might be handy for some diorama ideas.
External features look decent, but it will be also necessary to properly align panels between each other. Attachment points are thin enough for a quick and easy separation.
Here you can see that front and rear subsections come as one-piece elements. Meng also used large alignment elements, so it should be easy to get everything together.
Clear frame is not only packed into separate plastic bag, but also wrapped into film. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks unfortunately.
Vinyl tires is something of what you get as standard bonus, but I would recommend to find proper resin replacement. Such upgrade will make external appearance a bit more interesting.
There is no word on where decals come from, but printing quality looks okay. Kit features several markings for the car.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New Kubelwagen should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have this vehicle in their collection. Overall quality looks fine out of the box, but there is plenty of space for additional improvement. It is also worth noting that some analogues also offer PE in the package, but Meng decided not to include anything. Moreover, vinyl tires is also something strange to see today, it should be easy to find aftermarket for a bit more money though.
