Hauler 1/72 Skoda-Sentinel (HLP72037)

This time I will tell you more about Hauler 1/72 Skoda-Sentinel (HLP72037). New set comes as bigger scale release of the steam truck. Such vehicle might be interesting to build as solo project or as a part of some diorama. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all parts come in one plastic bag. Let's open everything together and take a closer look.

First we see roadwheels, chain drives and the burner stove. All those look nice out of the box, but be ready to carefully cut out resin flash in order to get a proper look.

Drivetrain parts look great and deserve careful painting and weathering. Maybe it is also worth checking some references if you would be able to find them. :)

Rear section is assembled out of separate panels. Those don't have wooden texture, but still should look fine in this scale.

Main chassis comes in one-piece, such design should make an installation easier and faster.

The same can be said about front cab which comes as one part. Overall casting quality looks great and even smallest feature are copied here.

Roof and floor are separate. Note that attachment side of the roof is on the frontal edge, so you will have to be careful while separating it.

Unpainted PE fret will come handy for some fine details. It is better to have special tools so that you will be able to handle those parts. Decals sheet is also not big, but carries all necessary symbols for several options. Assembly manual is black-and-white, I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit shoudl be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting build for modelers who would like to assemble something unusual. Nevertheless, it is a model which will require some previous expereience. Such set is definitely not recommended for beginners, as the final result will require some work and you have to know how to deal with this or that part. I still see this truck as a good assembly subject which is not offered by anyone. Just add something in the rear side and you will get a nice project.
