This model might be something some of us were waiting for quite a long time. Yes, we are going to check together new Arma Hobby 1/48 P-39Q Airacobra (40010). All previous alternatives on the market weren't exactly new, so now we have a chance to assemble something more detailed and precise. Moreover, there are all necessary things in the standard package, so the kit has all the chances to attract modelers. Packaging is typical for this brand, let's open it and check all parts inside.
By the way, here you can read review with Airacobra from the same brand, but in smaller size.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves and some other parts. Here you will also find tailwing, propeller and pilot seat. Note that fuselage is molded without tail fin which should be installed separately.
Wing parts can be found on the next frame. Yes, wing mechanization is premolded, so you will have to do some scratchbuilding if you would like to have them separate.
Third and the last frame carries mix of cockpit and external parts. Overall molding quality looks great, but it is still worth paying extra attention when working with thin parts.
Yes, there is also separate bag with metal weights. Such bonus will help you avoid "tail-sitter" and parts will be installed onto the special tray in the nose section.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can even open both doors.
Pre-cut masks is a useful bonus which will cover not only the canopy, but also landing gear wheels. In my opinion it is a must have in this scale.
It is nice to see errata included as separate parts and instructions. Moreover, you can even download file for 3D printing!
Arma Hobby decals are usually coming from Techmod, and this kit is not an exclusion from the rule. Printing quality looks great, and they should be easy to apply on the model. There are even plenty of cockpit decals for better appearance. You can see all three options on the photo below.
Assembly manual is shown on the photo below. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New set should be already available for purchase and it is worth getting it asap if you would like to build a decent copy of the famous Airacobra. In my opinion this plastic has all the chances to become the best option on the market. Moreover, in one box you will get all necessary things, so it might be not even worth investing into some aftermarket. Yes, there are premolded flaps and some other elements, but I don't think it will be a huge issue. Moreover, modelers who would like to modify them, would be getting more stuff changed anyway. :D
