ICM 1/72 ZiL-131 with Trailer (72817)

In this review I am going to show you ICM 1/72 ZiL-131 with Trailer (72817). I guess the name hints on the main feature here - trailer which can be assembled together with truck. Such a combo might be useful for some small scale diorama. I reviewed the "solo" truck already, so now it should be interesting to revisit this plastic set with new addition. Packaging is typical for the brand, so all parts are packed into several plastic bags. There are 106+43 parts which should assemble into a model with 186mm length. Let's open the box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another modern vehicle in bigger scale.

Without further ado, let's start with the new trailer first. Here you can see grey frame with parts for it. Overall design is smth you would expect from such a subject.

Clear frame is packed into a separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included here.

Truck rear section is molded as one-piece element. Such design should be easier to work with. Note that doors are still molded shut.

Front cab is also one-piece, so doors are not separate. Interior is quite simple, but should be okay for this scale.

Floor panel for the rear section is molded separately. Here you can also see various railings and ladder for this section of the truck.

Main chassis comes as one-piece elements, so you won't have to waste your time with separate bars. Suspension parts look good, but some of them are quite thin, so be ready to apply due care.

Each fuel tank should be glued out of two halves. Some parts have minor amount of flash, but it should be easy to clean with sharp blade.

Plastic wheels are the same as in the previous releases. If you want more features - go for 3D-printed aftermarket.

Truck set has its own clear parts which you can see here. Molding quality looks as good as on the previous ones, but you will have to cut out your own masks.

Decals look good, and they should make it easier to copy digital camouflage on your model. You can see two marking options on the photo below.

Assembly manuals are typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to have their own truck for some diorama build. Overall quality looks fine and leaves some space for additional details. This is not the kit where you will get highly detailed interior, but external features should be fine for this size of the model.
