IBG Models 1/72 Fw 190D-11 Sorau Factory Series (72533)

In this article I am going to tell you more about IBG Models 1/72 Fw 190D-11 Sorau Factory Series (72533). It is not hard to guess that we get yet another version of the famous German fighter aircraft. It is molded in small scale and might be interesting for all fans of such genre. I reviewed some of the previous versions and they were very nice out of the box. Now it is interesting to see what is offered in the new edition. Packaging here is traditional for the brand, so all frames are separated into several plastic bags. Let's open everything and check in the video and photos below.
By the way, here you can read review with another Dora, but in bigger scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is one of the biggest in this kit. Here you will find some parts for the engine compartment, main wheel wells and even fuel tanks.

I like the fact that we get one-piece cowlings here. Such design should make whole assembly easier and final appearance even smoother.

I like that cowling panels come single-piece parts too. Their separation process will be easy and quick.

Out of the box you will get nicely detailed engine. I am not sure about wiring, but even like this it looks great and worth of showing on the finished model.

Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fins. External features look good for this scale, but be careful with layers of paint and primer.

Wing should be glued out of three panels. On the photo above you can see top parts and underwing rockets.

Flaps are premolded while ailerons are separate here. Propeller attachment points design is just as it should be for easier work.

Clear parts are packed separately and look great. Of course, you will be able to replicate the open canopy on your model.

It won't be IBG kit without PE included. Don't worry, metal parts are here, and should be useful for external and internal features on the model.

Decals sheet is printed in Techmod, but only the one which comes with stencils. Second one is made by Cartograf. Both look great and should be easy to apply on the model. You can see all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New small "Dora" should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all fans of such type of aircraft. Moreover, it can be considered as one of the best long-nosed Fw 190 on the market. Out of the box you will get a lot of features, so it is just necessary to get them together. IBG is not shy of adding some useful things like PE parts which are even more valuable in this scale.
