IBG Models 1/72 M13/40 Italian Tank Late Production (72125)

This time we are going to check IBG Models 1/72 M13/40 Italian Tank Late Production (72125). New release comes as yet another version of the small scale armored vehicle. Moreover, tiny size doesn't mean that there will be less features, and manufacturer even included some additional bonuses. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in several plastic bags. Let's open them and check all parts closer.
By the way, here you can read review with another Italian vehicle.

Watch this video-review where I show everything even closer.

First we can start with tracks which are molded together with drive sprocket and drivetrain bogies. Such design should be easier to assemble.

Next frame carries hull parts. Lower section is molded as tub-like element where you will have to add rear wall and glacis plate.

Note that superstructure is also single-piece and such design should be quick to assemble. Large plate will be used to support the superstructure.

Glacis plate is molded together with side shelves. Turret top section comes on the separate frame, and hatches can be opened.

Drivetrain parts should be easy to assemble thanks to the special design. Overall I didn't have any problems with fitment of those.

Rear section comes as single-piece part too. There are some tiny parts so be ready to use tweezers where it will be necessary.

IBG Models included unpainted PE fret with some parts for fine details. Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols there. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Today's Italian tank should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great thing to assembly for those who have a good eyesight. :) Small scale has its influence here, and you won't be able to avoid it. Nevertheless, kit quality looks great out of the box, and we even get PE parts for some of the fine features.
Get this and other kits on IBG Models website.

Pros

  • Good molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • PE included
  • Nice decals

Cons

  • Small size might be tricky for some modelers
