Zvezda 1/72 KAMAZ Master (5076)

This time we are going to talk about Zvezda 1/72 KAMAZ Master (5076). New release comes as yet another version of the famous racing truck. As you can notice, we get it in small scale, which might be suitable for some unusual diorama scenes. For example like what you can see on the boxart of this box. Moreover, bigger scale kit looked good, but not everyone has space for previous 1/35 scale kit. It is also interesting to see what is included in such small release. There are 110 parts which should assemble into a model with 10.2 cm length. Packaging is typical here, so all frames come sealed in one bag. Let's open it and check everything together.
By the way, here you can read review with bigger scale version.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. You will find separate panels for the rear section as well as some suspension parts.

Next we see front cab parts and some of the drivetrain elements. Note that doors are molded in, so you won't be able to open them.

Main chassis is designed as single-piece part with some features molded in. Such design should make assembly easier and faster.

Next we can take a closer look at truck panels. Those look great for such a small scale and also have interior features.

Yes, Zvezda included rubber tires here. Those parts look okay for out of the box build, but I would recommend to check if you can get resin replacement.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks or masking templates inside.

Decals sheet is not big, but features all necessary symbols for one marking option. Printing quality looks great and should be easy to work with.

Zvezda printed marking guide on the separate sheet of paper in color. You will see truck there from all necessary sides.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion Zvezda did a great work here, so you can expect a nice plastic kit for reasonable money. Moreover, this might be a good base for some alternative build based on this racing truck. It would be interesting to see what aftermarket will come out for this kit as there is a great potential for some upgrades.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE
