Eduard 1/72 Fw 190A-5 Weekend (7470)

This article will tell you more about Eduard 1/72 Fw 190A-5 Weekend (7470). New release comes as yet another version of the famous German fighter aircraft. It is molded in small scale, but still offers a lot of features out of the box. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another German aircraft in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

In this video I show PE set which can be purchased separately for new Fw 190.

First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. Here you will find several versions of the propeller, landing gear wheels, and even night version antennas. Engine comes in form of simple tab to be installed inside.

Two fuselage halves come on the next sprue. Both are molded together with tail fin and some cowling panels. Wing has flaps premolded, so you will have to get separate PE add-on to have the retracted.

Clear frame is molded in circular shape and carries all necessary parts for the canopy. Keep in mind that Weekend sets usually don't include masks.

Decals are printed in Eduard, and overall quality looks fine. There are also some cockpit decals included. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion such model will be interesting for all fans of small scale models. Standard plastic offers a lot of features, and you also saw separate PE set in the video-review above. Don't forget that Eduard has Brassin accessories as well. Those will help you get even more fine features on the model.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Good decals
