IBG Models 1/35 Chevrolet C60L Office Lorry (35041)

This review is dedicated to IBG Models 1/35 Chevrolet C60L Office Lorry (35041). As the name suggests, new kit copies American truck in popular scale. Rear section will cope a small office with some items inside, and such thing might be interesting for some diorama builders. Previous releases of this truck were quite nice, so it is worth checking what is new in today's version. Packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames come sealed in several plastic bags. Let's open them and check all parts closer.
By the way, here you can read review with tank model in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to separate panels for the rear "office" structure. Note that doors are separate and you can open them on your model.

Floor and roof panels come on the next sprue. Overall quality looks great and there are some interior features premolded.

Main chassis bars come on the separate frame with suspension and engine parts. All those elements are nice out of the box, and it might be worth adding the wiring.

Kit is full of small parts, so be ready to work with those and try not to lose any. :D

IBG Models supplies us with separate doors for the front cab. This feature might be useful for some diorama ideas.

There are three different chassis bars sets, so be sure to use the right one for today's version.

Front cab should be glued out of separate panels. Note that hatch is separate on some versions.

Another portion of front and rear panels for the rear section come on the next sprue. Lower frame is dedicated to furniture which will be installed inside.

Yes, kit also packs some additional items to be placed inside and outside the truck. Those will come handy to make your model a bit more convincing in appearance.

Leaf springs look great and deserve some weathering applied to them. Top frame again features additional items for the "office" interior.

I am glad to see plastic wheels in this kit. They are definitely better than typical rubber offering, even though designers could have replicated weight effect here.

There are several types of the front cab panels. Overall idea is the same - those parts will be aligned with help of internal guiding elements.

Last grey plastic frame carries some parts for the front mask and floor. As you remember, there is an engine included, so it might be worth showing the powerplant on finished model.

Clear frames come in the separate plastic bag. On the photo above you can see clear parts for the front cab.

This sprue comes in two pieces and features all necessary windows for the rear section. Note that there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals sheet is not that big and features all necessary symbols for one marking option. PE fret will come handy for some fine features both inside and outside. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting "base" for some diorama project. Just add some stand, figurines and you will get a nice scene. Moreover, it is cool to see different interior items being included into standard package. Of course, PE is also a welcome bonus. What I would be happy to get is the masks sheet, because it will take some time to cover all clear elements on the cab and "office".
Get this and other kits on official ING Models website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Good decals
  • PE included

Cons

  • No masks for clear parts
