Special Hobby 1/72 Kittyhawk Mk.IV (SH72484)

Today's article is dedicated to Special Hobby 1/72 Kittyhawk Mk.IV (SH72484). New aircraft model comes as yet another version of the famous aircraft in small scale. We reviewed all previous versions and they looked quite good, so it will be interesting to see what is included here. Overall packaging is typical, and all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open all parts and take a closer look together.

First frame comes with mix of various parts. As you can see, some of them are given in several versions, so it will be important to pick the right one for your aircraft.

Wing comes with molded in flaps, ailerons are also molded in place, but they serve as guiding elements on the top panel. Tailwings come as single-piece elements.

New fuselages halves are on the third frame. Left one is molded together with tail fin which will serve as guiding element.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

Decals sheet is not that big, you will find all necessary symbols for two markings. Moreover, there are some decals for the cockpit too. Printing quality looks good. You can see two options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for Special Hobby. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New Kittyhawk is already available with all original accessories. Longer fuselage aircraft might be an interesting choice to build in small scale. Overall quality looks as great as previous releases, and even standard out-of-the-box build should look great. There are even some cockpit features included, but you can go for aftermarket PE and have a bit more sophisticated build. Also don't forget about CMK resin which offers a lot of opportunities to change external parts of the aircraft. :)
