ICM 1/48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.I (48312)

This article will tell you more about ICM 1/48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.I (48312). Kit comes as yet another version of the famous British aircraft in popular scale. Previous releases shown that plastic looks great out of the box, so new boxing will give us a chance to build it with different markings. Packaging is typical, so all frames come in several bags. Model features 217 parts which should assemble into a model with 368mm wingspan. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with one of the previous versions.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with wing parts. Each side should be glued out of two halves and separate mechanization.

Front section of engine cowlings can be found on the next frame. There are guiding pins inside, they should help you with alignment.

Each engine gondola should be glued out of two halves. Note also large spars which will be holding both sides of the wing in place.

ICM included surprisingly detailed engines in the kit. Those definitely deserve nice paintwork. Landing gear wheels look fine for out-of-the-box build.

Turret should be glued out of several parts. Overall molding looks great here.

Torpedo is another nice bonus in the box. Note that it is supplied together with transport cart.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Inside you will find interior details as well as guiding elements.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Those parts are nice, and ICM supplies special template for masks on all those areas.

Decals look great and somehow manage to fit all symbols on one sheet. Note that cockpit decals for instrument panel are also there. All four markings can be seen on the photo below.

Separate word should be said about ICM paints. Those are really handy because manufacturer tailors sets for specific model kits.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Fresh boxing of Beaufort should be already available for purchase. In my opinion this kit will be interesting project for all fans of British aircraft. Moreover, ICM gives you a lot of features in the standard package, so it will be easier to get a nice result. There is also plenty of aftermarket for this aircraft, and you can add even more things in your build. The only thing that is worth mentioning is that this kit is more tailored for experienced modelers who would be able to work with twin-engine aircraft. :)
