Miniart 1/35 STUG III Ausf.G Alkett Prod. (35388)

This article will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 STUG III Ausf.G Alkett Prod. (35388). Kit comes as yet another version of the German WW2 vehicle in popular scale. Note that today we are checking version without interior. Some modelers will be happy to hear this, as the parts count will be smaller. Moreover, they will get a chance to focus on external features. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts closer.

We are going to start with one of the biggest frames in the box. Here you will find some of the hull panels as well as minor elements for external features.

Superstructure design is also quite smart, and there are guiding elements which should help you with overall alignment.

Main gun mask and barrel can be found on the separate frame. Those parts look fine and should be easy to assemble.

Here we see more of the hull panels. Note that all hatches are molded separately and can be assembled in open position.

Lower left frame carries muzzle brake parts, you should combine those and add onto the barrel. Pioneer tools look good, but molded without clamps.

Drive sprockets and spare wheels are glued out of two parts. Side shelves feature details on both sides.

Note that roadwheels are molded together with rubber sections. There are no masking templates in the box, so you will have to cut out everything by your own.

It is good to see plastic tracks included. Those parts should be easier to paint and weather, but assembly might take some time.

Here you can see the mix of various parts. As a small reminder I will mention that we have a kit without interior and yet parts count is still impressive.

Lower hull section should be glued out of separate panels. There are guiding elements inside which should help you with this task.

Last sprue brings more tools which can be placed on your vehicle.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Overall molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

There are two PE frets included. Both are unpainted, but those parts will come handy for fine details on your model.

Decals sheet comes from Cartograf, so printing quality looks fine. Here you will find all necessary symbols for several markings which you can see on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Today's kit continues impressive line of STUG models from Miniart. In my opinion you get all the necessary things out of the box, so you can focus on actual project. This is definitely not something I would recommend to beginners, as some experience will be necessary. All those small parts, separate track links and other things will require due care, so don't expect a quick build. Nevertheless, final result would benefit from all details included in the standard package.
