Miniart 1/24 D8506 Mod.1937 Tractor (24003)

This review is dedicated to Miniart 1/24 D8506 Mod.1937 Tractor (24003). New kit might be familiar to some of you because previous release was issued in 1/35 scale. Now we get it in a traditional "car scale" which gives a bigger parts size. Overall quality should remain the same, but it is interesting to see how the "magnification" will influence whole model. Packaging here is typical for Miniart, so all parts come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the same tractor in 1/35 scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with the first large frame. Here you will find chassis parts as well as some engine bits.

Note that in 1/24 scale we get more premolded features. There are many thin parts too, which will require due care.

Bonnet features look great out of the box and might benefit from dark wash. Whole tractor can be a good candidate for some weathering.

Driver seat can be found on the next sprue. It is designed as separate element from the support bar, so be sure to align them properly.

I like the fact that Miniart preserved plastic wheels here. Each front wheel should be glued out of separate circular sections with guiding pins inside.

Rear wheels come in slightly different form. On the photo above you can see the middle section for them, and side sections are shown on the photo below.

Wheel fenders are molded with support frames. Such design will give you the right alignment out of the box.

Molding quality looks great even on the smallest parts, and attachment points are quite thin. Nevertheless, be careful with tender parts.

Clear frame and decals come in the separate plastic bag. There are no masks in the kit, so you will have to cover the headlamps by yourself. Decals look find and come from Cartograf. Several markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit looks like an interesting choice for car modelers who are tired from all those supercars released by different brands. Miniart gives us a chance to copy classic tractor, and standard plastic brings all the necessary features. Moreover, some people will be happy to see that there is no PE to be used in the model assembly. Of course, you can also play with weathering on this subject as it will be suitable on tractor. Next thing to add is the figurine, so let's see if there will be some sets from Miniart.
