Galaxy Hobby 1/72 M1224A1 Maxx Pro MEAP (GH72A04)

Today we are going to check Galaxy Hobby 1/72 M1224A1 Maxx Pro MEAP (GH72A04). As you can notice, kit comes in the small scale and might be an interesting choice for modelers who are ready for such project. Moreover, manufacturer tried to preserve as many features as possible, so there are also PE parts included. Real vehicle doesn't need an extra introduction, but model should be worth checking together. Packaging is standard, all frames come in several bags. Let's open them and take a closer look.
By the way, here you can read review with another interesting kit in small scale.

Watch this video where I show parts even closer. :)

Video with masks which will be handy for your model.

We are going to start with the biggest frame here. Galaxy Hobby placed hull panels and main chassis bars. All of these parts feature a lot of premolded details, which look great for such scale.

Keep in mind that kit also offers interior out of the box. It can be displayed with help of separate front doors or rear ramp. Suspension should be impressive as well.

Apparently there are several package versions available for this kit. Nevertheless, mine features turret assembled out of plastic parts, not PE.

It is cool to see bonnet as single-piece element. Such design should make it easier to get the nice finish on your model.

Yes, kit features vinyl tires, and there is nothing you can do about it. Galaxy Hobby also offers a package with 3D-printed wheels, but this will cost a bit extra.

Clear frame wasn't packed into separate plastic bag, so it would be a wise idea to check all parts before purchase. Overall molding quality looks fine. Keep in mind that there are no masks included.

It is nice to see PE parts here. Those will be handy for some fine details on the vehicle. Decals look good, but would require careful application. You can see one of the markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual comes as the small brochure printed in color. You can check all pages in the video-review.

Small Maxx Pro should be already available in all good model shops. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who like to work on smaller builds. Moreover, details didn't suffer because of the size and we get a lot of things out of the box. This is definitely not the kit for beginners, but with due care you will be able to get a nice result. Moreover, you also have a chance to buy higher tier version with even more bonuses in the box. :) It will be interesting to see how all these things go together, so stay tuned for the build-review.
THANK YOU FOR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
