This time we are going to check Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.Vb mid Weekend (84186). Kit comes as yet another version of the famous British fighter aircraft. Note that it is supplied in form of Weekend Edition, so you won't get additional bonuses, but should receive lower price instead. Packaging is typical, boxart looks nice, so let's open this box and check everything together.
By the way, here you can read review with another interesting version.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
We are going to start with mix of parts on one sprue. Here you will find several propeller types and some cockpit elements.
Each tailwing should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding pins inside which will help you with alignment.
Kit contains a lot of alternative parts, so you will have to pay attention in order to use the right one. Overall molding quality looks great in my opinion.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin and top cowling cover. Such design will require due care in order to get a nice result.
Wing parts division is typical. Flaps are molded in, so you will have to buy a separate PE in order to have them in retracted position.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks as we get a Weekend Edition kit.
Both decals sheets are packed into separate bag and printed in Eduard. Overall quality looks fine, manufacturer also provided a bit more things for the cockpit. You can see all markings on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all aircraft modelers who would like to have the famous Spitfire in their collection. Moreover, even the standard package offers a lot of features which should turn into a nice model. Don't forget that Eduard sells original accessories as well. This will mean additional investment, but for the final look it will be worth the price. :)
