Eduard 1/48 F4F-4 Folding Wings (648818)

This review is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 F4F-4 Folding Wings (648818). Name immediately tells the main idea here. Original plastic model didn't feature folding wings out of the box. Nevertheless, Eduard promised that there will be a separate kit for that, and now it is on my table. I have to admit that first I was surprised by the size of the box. This is not something you expect from Brassin set. Let's open this box and take a closer look at what is included here.

We are going to start with 3D-printed parts. Those look great out of the box, but you will have to be careful while installing them. Note also small PE fret with some tiny elements.

Yes, there is also a plastic sprue with wing halves. Those parts feature clear demarcation of areas which will have to be cut through. You can see it on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

In my opinion new kit is a very interesting add-on for your aircraft build. Nevertheless, this is not a good choice for beginners, especially if you are afraid of cutting plastic. This is something you won't be able to avoid for the folding wings version. Parts quality is top notch here, so once installed model should look impressive. Moreover, this definitely give you more options for various diorama ideas. :)
