Eduard 1/48 Samurai Limited Edition (11168)

This time we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Samurai Limited Edition (11168). As you can guess, we get fresh offer with A6M3 plastic inside. Moreover, it is not just one model, but two kits together with all necessary add-ons. Such offer might be interesting for modelers who would like to build new kit and have it in different markings. Packaging is typical for this brand, so frames come in several bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Zero Limited Edition.

Here you can take a closer look at handy Brassin set for the folded wingtips.

This video will tell you more about useful guns upgrade.

We are going to start with one of "universal" frames. Here you will find landing gear, propeller and even fuel tank parts.

I like that both kits have nicely detailed engines out of the box. The same can be said about cockpits. Note that both can be replaced by their Brassin counterparts.

Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fin, but rudder and cowling are separate. External features look great and should be enough for this scale.

Kit features two wing types. Overall parts division is typical - two top panels and one lower. Note that flaps are premolded.

Here you can see both wing types. As you remember, Eduard designed it as Dual Combo, so you will be able to build both aircraft.

Clear parts look great and feature canopy parts. Of course, you will be able to open cockpit on your model. Masks can be seen on the photo below.

PE fret is a traditional product for Czech manufacturer, so quality looks nice. Those parts will come handy for fine features on your model.

Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard, quality looks great. There are also some cockpit decals in case you can't use PE parts. Almost all markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all fans of Japanese aircraft. Two kits are better than one, especially if we are getting completely new plastic which was created with modern technologies. Moreover, Eduard also offers huge choice of original accessories for different parts. This might be a worthy extra investment, so definitely check it if you can. :)
