ICM 1/32 The English Patient (32053)

This time we are going to check ICM 1/32 The English Patient (32053). As you can guess, kit comes as combo-release with two large scale aircraft. Main idea here is to copy biplanes from the movie. Yes, models were released as separate products too, but it is worth checking them again. Packaging is typical for this brand. Inside you will find 95 parts for Tiger Moth DH.82A and 92 parts for Stearman Model 75. Parts count might look small, but let's open both bags and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another aircraft in big scale.

We are going to start with Stearman and its parts. On the first frame you will find two wing halves and some of landing gear parts.

Another set of wing parts is on the next sprue. Here you can also see some of the cockpit parts which deserve a careful painting and weathering.

Fuselage halves come on the separate frame. Note that left one features tail fin, and both come with landing gear struts.

It is good to see nicely detailed engine here. Don't forget that it will be completely exposed, so it might be a good idea to spend some time on weathering and fine details.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks good and you will find masking templates in the assembly manual.

Another aircraft is Tiger Moth in 1/32 scale. Here you can see parts for the lower wing.

This kit as detailed as the previous one. Be careful with thin parts, as those will require careful separation off the frame.

Both fuselage halves are molded without tail fin, rudder and cowling. For the nose area, I would recommend to think on how to expose the engine on the finished model.

Clear frame here is even smaller than what we saw in the first aircraft. Decals sheet looks fine and carries all necessary symbols for two marking options.

New combo-set should be already available for purchase. It should be an interesting thing for those who saw the movie and would like to copy both biplanes. Models still look good, but I would prefer to get the stand or base in order to have both aircraft in flight. Moreover, it could be cool to get figurines which would copy movie characters. Who knows, maybe we will see all this stuff as separate release...
