Eduard 1/48 The Ultimate Tempest Limited Edition (11164)

This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 The Ultimate Tempest Limited Edition (11164). Kit comes as new release from the famous brand. As you can guess, inside there is a plastic for a copy of British fighter aircraft in popular scale. Moreover, Eduard promised to include an interesting book about the Tempest. Packaging is typical here, so let's open the box and start with the video.
By the way, here you can read review with another British aircraft in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with the mix of various parts. Here you will find some of the cockpit parts as well as landing gear elements.

Next we see landing gear wheels, cockpit walls and some rockets with pylons. Don't forget that you can replace whole cockpit with resin upgrade.

As you remember, engine is replicated with simple-looking tab. Nevertheless, Eduard also offers full resin kit for this part of aircraft.

Tailwings should be glued out of two halves, but there are guiding elements inside. It is good to have one-piece propellers, as such parts will be easier to install.

Wings parts division is typical for such model. Note that flaps are molded in, but ailerons are separate. For the flaps you will have to get a separate PE set.

Yes, clear frame is dedicated to fuel tanks.

Fuselage halves are molded together with tail fins. Both feature recessed panel lines and rivets.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Of course, you can open the canopy with those parts. Masks can be seen on the photo below.

Pre-painted PE fret should be useful for the cockpit and some external bits. I recommend to use all the parts for even better-looking result.

Kit features 10 decals options, so all symbols come on two large decals sheets. Printing quality is excellent as both are printed in Eduard. You can check all markings on the photo below.

Another special bonus - book from Christopher Thomas, which is dedicated only to Tempest. You will find a lot of interesting photos inside.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available, but it is better to hurry if you want to get one. Such releases get sold out quickly, and then it will be difficult to find one. In my opinion Eduard created a nice combo with all the useful components inside. Moreover, book will be handy for the build, as you will get a perfect reference collection together with the big choice of markings options. The only thing that I can recommend is to take a look at original resin accessories which can bring even more features to your aircraft model.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.
