ICM 1/35 AHN2 French Truck (35419)

Today we are going to check ICM 1/35 AHN2 French Truck (35419). This version of the truck was produced after factory liberation by allies. Vehicle was available both for military and civilians. It still preserved quite unusual shape, which should look good in the finished state. Well, now we have a chance to copy it in the popular scale. Packaging is typical for this brand. There are 180 parts which should assemble into a model with 181mm length. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with front cab parts. Yes, there are separate doors, and it might be a good idea to open at least one on your model.

Rear bed assembly might take some time. Nevertheless, it is not as difficult as it might seem to be.

Next frame brings us more parts for the rear section. It is nice to see all subframes molded as single-piece sections, so it will be easier to install them.

Wheel rims come on two sprues. Such design should be easier to paint and use on the model.

It is nice to see the engine included out of the box. Such thing might be handy for some diorama ideas. Note also the large bars on both sides - those will be used for chassis.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Kit doesn't feature any masks or template for them.

Yes, there are vinyl tires. They look fine for standard kit thing, but I would recommend to find some aftermarket replacement for a better appearance.

Decals sheet is not that big, but carries all necessary symbols for several markings. Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. Truck model looks like an interesting thing to work on and there is plenty of space for some scratch-building. Moreover, it is nice to see engine included out of the box, as not that many manufacturer actually include this even today. The only thing that might be useful - masks for clear parts and maybe resin wheels. In this scale model will benefit from such addition and it would make whole build even more realistic.
