ICM 1/72 Over all of Spain the Sky is Clear (DS7202)

This article is dedicated to ICM 1/72 Over all of Spain the Sky is Clear (DS7202). Name might be not that clear, but one look at the boxart will give you an idea on what is supplied inside. Yes, you will get three models in the small scale, and that should make a nice diorama. Markings copy aircraft from the Spanish war, so it will be interesting to see all parts closer. Let's open this box and check everything together.

We are going to start with clear frame. This one is needed for Bf 109, and overall quality looks fine. Note that there are no masks in the kit.

All other parts fit onto one frame. It is worth noting that both models are not exactly fresh, so some of you may have previous experience with them. Here it is worth noting that all wing mechanization parts are premolded.

Next we see wing parts for the big bomber SB-2. Each side will have to be glued out of three parts.

Tail surfaces are molded separately here. Note that some of cockpit parts will require a bit of drilling in order to get a better appearance.

Engine gondolas will have to be glued separately. Yes, there is minor amount of flash around some parts, so you will have to carefully clean it with sharp knife.

It is nice to see bombs included in the standard package. Of course you don't have to use all of them at once, so some might stay for the next project.

Here is the last grey plastic sprue. I have to note external features such as panel lines which are not that deep and require careful painting.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. I would rather cover it with clear lacquer for improved shine.

Decals sheet carries all necessary symbols for three aircraft. Each of them will get only one marking. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and you can check all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. Whole idea is quite nice as you will get three models which can be combined into one diorama. In my opinion this kit would benefit from the special stand that will gather all models into one composition. Moreover, there are no masks, so you will have to work with SB-2 and its canopy. Of course, there is also a big space for some scratch-building, but it is up to you whether such things will be installed on your models.
