ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht 3-axle Trucks (DS3508)

In this review we are going to talk about ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht 3-axle Trucks (DS3508). One box features three German trucks with three axles. Packaging is quite heavy and each set comes in its own plastic bag. There are 324 parts for assembly of Henschel 33D1, 296 parts for Krupp L3H163 and 241 parts for LG3000. Let's open them and take a careful look together.
By the way, here you can read review with WW1 combo-set.

We are going to start with frame which is dedicated to Mercedes truck. Here you will find engine and front cab parts.

Rear section should be glued out of several panels, so I recommend to keep track of alignment.

Note that panels do not feature any wooden texture. You can try to replicate it with your own hands and tools.

Even though finished trucks will have noticeable size, there are a lot of small parts. Be extra careful with thin parts and use the plastic saw here.

Yes, all three trucks have plain wood without texture, so it would be a good idea to experiment with weathering.

I like the fact that suspension will be really detailed here. Such thing might come handy in diorama projects.

Of course, you don't have to build all three trucks at once. This kit is more of efficient purchase for modelers. :)

Clear frames are packed into separate plastic bags. Molding quality looks fine, but you will have to cut out masks.

Each truck is slightly different in terms of wheels design. One will be supplied with vinyl tires and another one uses plastic wheels.

I guess there is no need to explain which option is better. :D

Each front cab should be glued out of several panels, but in some cases bonnet panels are molded shut, so you won't be able to show the engine inside.

One more impressive set of drivetrain parts.

Some thin elements might be replaced with thin wire for even better appearance.

All three trucks come as nice opportunity for super-detailing, so it might be worth checking some references.

Here you can see another set of bonnet panels which are molded shut.

Last grey plastic sprue carries parts for the rear section of the truck. It would be good to work on wood surface here.

Assembly manuals are typical for this brand. You can see all pages in the video-review. New combo-set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for WW2 modelers who will find a use for such build. As it was mentioned before, you don't have to assemble all of them at once. Moreover, there is some space for fine detailing of each truck. Add some figures here and you will get a simple diorama build. The only thing I would like to see included is the painting template for easier masking.
