ICM 1/24 Benz Patent-Motorwagen with Plastic Spokes (24042)

Today we are going to check ICM 1/24 Benz Patent-Motorwagen with Plastic Spokes (24042). As the name says, new release comes with plastic parts instead of PE. Kit comes as "Easy Version" which should be a bit more attractive for some modelers. Packaging is still the same, all frames come in one plastic bag. There are 88 parts which should assemble into a car model with 106mm length. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

There are not that many frames in the box. First one is the biggest and carries almost all parts for the car. Be careful with thin parts as those might be a bit tricky for some modelers.

Wheels come on two identical frames. As you remember, these spokes were copied with PE and now we get them in plastic.

Such design should be easier to work with, and I know some modelers who would be happy to get such an upgrade. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, so it should be easy to understand.

New version of Benz car should be already available for purchase. In my opinion new plastic parts make whole kit a bit more beginner-friendly, so I think it will attract more people. Moreover, such model might help modeler to focus on painting process. All other components stayed the same, so we still get nicely detailed car in popular scale. The only thing I would like to see included - some kind of stand or maybe figures, but we all know that it will also increase the price.
