ICM 1/48 He 111H-6 North Africa (48265)

This time we are going to talk about ICM 1/48 He 111H-6 North Africa (48265). This aircraft version is famous for its more powerful Jumo 211F-2 engines and now we get new markings in the box. Scale and box size hints that finished model will be quite big. There are 325 parts in total, which should assemble into a model with 471mm wingspan and 344mm length. Packaging is typical, all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look. I recommend to check video-review above where I show all parts closer.

First frame comes in two pieces and you will find landing gear parts as well as some elements for an engine. Yes, both powerplants will be replicated out of the box!

As you remember, wingspan will be quite big, so these large tabs are must-have for a proper support from both sides. On the same sprue you can also see some fuselage panels.

Fuselage halves come on the next frame. Both are molded together with tail fin, but without rudder. External details are typical for such parts.

It is good to see one-piece propellers included. Such parts will be easier to install on your model.

Wing halves are quite big, so be careful while joining them together. Note that ailerons are molded separately here, but flaps are molded in.

Separate frame is dedicated to landing gear parts. Those look nice and deserve a nice paintwork.

Last sprue brings us another pair of wing halves together with mechanization parts. Molding quality looks clean and crisp.

Clear frames are packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches or damage. Molding quality looks find, but there are no masks included.

Decals sheet looks nice and carries all necessary symbols. As for the assembly manual, you can check all pages in the video-review.

Big aircraft should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get all necessary parts for a nice copy of the big German bomber. Moreover, there are some additional aftermarket sets from Eduard which can be added here. In my opinion this kit deserves more improvements for even more impressive look. Nevertheless, even out-of-the-box project would look great on your shelf. :)
