Miniart 1/48 Airfield Tractors Standard N Mod.1938 (50001)

This article will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 Airfield Tractors Standard N Mod.1938 (50001). New release comes as new-tooled plastic which should be handy for some aircraft diorama ideas. Note that one box will bring you two models in the same scale, while bigger offerings contained only one. Yes, I reviewed similar tractors in bigger sizes, so it will be interesting to see how the smaller item is designed. Assembled model length here should be around 5cm, what is not that big. Overall packaging is typical for Miniart, so all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them and check together.

We are going to start with the biggest frame here which carries chassis parts. Another sprue is dedicated to the cab version panels. There are guiding elements on each part which will help you with alignment.

Kit features plastic wheels, so it will be easy to paint and weather those. There are even surface features on the tire walls, what is quite cool for this size of the model.

Last frame carries mix of small parts. As you can guess, all those frames are needed for one tractor, and box features another set for the second one.

Clear frame will come handy for headlight lenses as well as cab glasses. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks or masking templates in the kit.

Unpainted PE fret is useful for some fine features on your tractor. Here you can see parts for both tractors.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so quality looks great. You get here all necessary symbols for six markings. All options are shown on the photo below.

New tractor combo should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great offering for modelers who would like to build airfield diorama. Moreover, Miniart decided to include two vehicles in one box, so you can have another one for the separate build or share it with your friend. Previous tractors were molded in bigger scale, but their quality looked great. Well, today's set is also nice, and I have no doubt that overall fitment would be good too. The only thing to remember is the size, because some parts are very small. :)
