Valiant Wings Bristol Beaufighter Airframe&Miniature (26)

This review will tell you more about Valiant Wings Bristol Beaufighter Airframe&Miniature (26). The title might be familiar to some of you because original book came out way back in 2018. Well, now it required a revision, so author decided to completely redo whole thing and add more materials inside. All this sounds like a great idea, especially considering the fact that page count increased to 264 pages. To me it will be interesting to see what is new here and show you more pages, so let's start with the video and continue with classic photo discussion.
By the way, here you can read review with book about Spitfire.

Overall structure of the book is rather classic, so if you have some of the previous issues from the same series, then it will be familiar to you. There are two large sections - one about airframe and another about miniature.

Everything starts with development history. Valiant Wings are always generous with photos, and this book is not an exclusion from the rule. In total you will find more than 200 photos of the aircraft. Those will definitely come in handy for some build ideas.

Next chapter will tell you more about various modifications and why they were designed in certain way.

My favorite chapter is the one about markings. Here you will find color-printed side profiles, which might be handy for picking something different from out-of-the-box versions.

Book also features separate articles about several model builds. On the photo above you can see a writeup on how Airfix set is assembled.

It is also great that author takes a bit more descriptive approach in showing the main differences on various aircraft variants. They are shown with dark grey obviously.

Another great part of the book is the detailed look into various sections of the real aircraft. You will get plenty of photos mixed together with drawings and schemes. This will definitely come in handy for some fine result on your model. Note also 1/48 drawing plans which are included in the book.

New book should be already available for purchase. Price will be set on classic 29.45GBP, what is typical for this series. In my opinion it is a must-have if you plan to build the famous Beaufighter. Moreover, it doesn't matter which scale you would pick, there is still some useful information inside. Overall layout and styling is classic already, and this is one of the few publications which give you all the necessary things in one package.
