Miniart 1/35 Kfz.2 Radio Car Type 170VK (35488)

Today I am going to tell you more about Miniart 1/35 Kfz.2 Radio Car Type 170VK (35488). Kit comes as yet another version of the famous Mercedes in popular scale. We already reviewed Kfz.1, so it will be interesting to see what is new in this one. It is easy to guess that the main difference would be all this radio equipment which should be installed in the car. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, and all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look together.

On the first large frame you will find one-piece floor and chassis. Such design should be easier to assemble, and alignment will be less tricky too.

Various radio equipment should be glued out of separate panels. This is not a difficult task, just be sure to plan the paintwork in advance.

Radio version will also need a new body panels as the right side doesn't have the rear door. All other doors are separate and can be position open if necessary.

Engine is also included here, what might be handy for some diorama ideas. Note that some parts are quite thin, and you will have to be extra careful with those.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included here.

Kit also features unpainted PE fret. Those parts will be handy not only for the vehicle, but also for various tools. Decals are coming from Cartograf, so you shouldn't be worried about quality issues. Four marking options can be seen on the photo below.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great pick for modelers who would like to build car in popular 1/35 scale. Miniart provides you with very detailed kit which doesn't need any extra items. Well, maybe figurines will be handy, but those can be also found in the same manufacturer's range.
