ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht Maultiers (DS3522)

This review is dedicated to ICM 1/35 Wehrmacht Maultiers (DS3522). As you can guess from the boxart, one box will bring three kits in popular scale. All those are copying halftrack truck which was used by German army. You get a choice between two open bed types (290 and 219 parts) and one with the shelter on the back side (313 parts). Finished trucks will be around 17-19cm long depending on the version. All this sounds like a great combo, and each set is packed separately. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another combo from ICM.

I would show two kits as the parts are almost the same in the version with open rear bed. On the photo above you can see the main difference - front cab, below is another type of it.

Yes, another cab type is also included here, but you won't need those parts in today's build with open rear bed. Other two versions are using exactly this one though.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Two longerons can be seen on both sides of the frame. Yes, engine is also included here, and suspension should be nicely detailed too.

Tracked section parts come on the separate sprue. It is nice to see separate track links, but there is no assembly jig included here.

Roadwheels are molded in plastic, what is good in this scale. Rear bed is quite straightforward in its design, so you won't have any issues here.

Here you can see some panels for the hospital version of the truck. I would recommend to think on what to place inside as this version will have large windows.

Note that all doors are molded separately. This feature might be handy for some build ideas.

Separate clear sprue is given for the medical version of the truck. Overall quality is as good as on the previous transparent frame.

None of those parts will be getting a masks, so be sure to have a good knife for a nice result.

Each truck version has a separate decals sheet. Printing quality looks great and should be easy to work with. Assembly manuals are typical for ICM. You can check all pages in the video-review.

Combo-set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have all three trucks at once. Kits inside look great straight out of the box, so you just need to decide on which one you would like to build first. Well, another thing to consider is the figurines and accessories from the same manufacturer. They might be handy for a diorama build with one of the trucks.
