Resin add-on from Eduard
Hi!
Today's review is dedicated to the Brassin set from Czech manufacturer Eduard. This time it's molded in 1/72 scale and copies quite unusual subject - Storm Shadow. Some might argue that it's too big for thin fighter aircraft body, but still such add-on should make appearance unusual and engaging. Parts come in transparent plastic box, so you can check all parts without opening this package. Let's open it, and take a look at parts.
Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
Fuselage part is casted as one-piece element. Such design should be handy for a nice and clean result, just don't forget to cut off the bases in the tail area.
All deployable sections are quite thin, so be careful while installing them. This also shows the main benefit of the resin parts - their dimensions.
There are guiding elements on the parts which will help you with overall alignment.
Unpainted PE fret looks fine, and should add some details. Decals are printed in Eduard, so you don't have to worry about any quality issues. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.
Today's set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a must-have for all modellers who would like to add Storm Shadow to their aircraft. Resin offering brings more features and should look great in this scale too. Moreover, it is good to see decals included too, as it will add visual interest to the whole assembly.
You can get this and other sets on official Eduard website.
