In this review I will tell you more about Aoshima 1/24 Nissan Super Silhouette (11). Original release happened way back in 80's, but now the kit is reissued in slightly updated box. I didn't review the initial kit, so it will be interesting to check what is inside. Moreover, it is always a question whether the old plastic holds up against the modern standards or there are noticeable problems. Packaging here is typical for the brand, so each frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another great release from the same brand.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
We start with car body shell which is molded as one-piece. Yes, it comes together with bumpers, skirts, doors and bonnet.
Overall it looks fine, but original painting scheme will require some masking from you.
Floor panel is molded with small imitation of the gearbox, but that's pretty much all you get here. There is no engine included in the kit.
Interior floor is also quite empty, just like on the real car. On the photo above you can also notice that Aoshima molded safety cage as one-piece part.
Vinyl tires look okay for the standard build.
Rear wing should be glued out of several parts. Driver's seat will get decal seatbelts.
Wheel rims look surprisingly good here. I wouldn't even strip those parts as overall finish is very nice.
Clear parts come on the separate frame. There are no masks for those, but molding quality looks great.
Decals sheet is not that big and carries all necessary symbols for one marking option.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New car kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to replicate unusual version of the famous Skyline. Overall quality looks fine even today even though this kit is quite old by any standard. If the fitment is as good, it should be quite a nice project to work on. The only thing to remember is to get some masks for even better paintwork on your model.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!Pros
