This review will tell you more about Zvezda 1/48 Yak-7B Late (4837). Fresh kit comes as new-tooled plastic from the famous brand. It is molded in quite popular scale and should offer some cool features straight out of the box. We get it in the later version, but I have no doubt that more types will follow in the future. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are sealed into several plastic bags. In total there are 223 parts which should assemble into a model with 17.7cm length. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another aircraft set from the same brand.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
First frame is a connection between two smaller ones. On the left you will find lower wing half which is molded together with flaps. Right one carries tail surfaces and some other minor parts.
Top wing halves come on the next frame. Here you can also see different nose section which will be useful for open cowling build option.
This is the reason why left fuselage half is cut short and should be combined with separate section depending on which build option you will choose. Note that top cowling panel comes as one-piece part.
Inside you will find some guiding elements as well as cockpit structure which will house separately assembled cabin.
Zvezda did a great thing by including engine in the kit. This should be a basic feature for 1/48 scale, but some brands still don't have it in their models. Pilot figurine is also a welcome addition.
Kit offers several assembly options, you can build in-flight aircraft with closed landing gear. On this frame you can also see cockpit parts for the aircraft.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and you can build an open cockpit version, but there are no masks included.
Decals are printed in nice quality. You will find all necessary symbols here and even some cockpit decals.
Marking guide is printed in color.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it looks fine straight out of the box. Yes, masks would make this kit complete, but I guess we will see some sets from aftermarket brands. It is nice that Zvezda included engine and pilot figurine in the standard package. Moreover, assembly options will give you several choice to make. Don't forget that model stand should be found separately, but I guess this is not a difficult thing to do.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!Pros
