Magic Factory 1/72 Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma (3001)

This article will tell you more about Magic Factory 1/72 Sd.Kfz.234/2 Puma (3001). As you can guess from the name, plastic copies the famous German 8-wheeler in small scale. There is no interior in this set, but manufacturer promises great external features in the standard package. All frames come in the separate plastic bags, so let's open them all and take a closer look at parts together.
By the way, here you can read review with more impressive bigger Puma.

We can start with hull parts as overall design is quite smart here. You can notice on the photo above that lower hull section is molded as one-piece element with separate bottom section.

Top section should be glued out of separate plastic panels. Suspension will be built as several subassemblies which should be installed in place.

Note that some hatches are separate and there is even interior floor here. Nevertheless, there are not that many interior features, only the necessary things.

Some parts are quite tiny, so be sure to have sharp tweezers in order to be able to handle those properly.

Turret should be assembled out of several panels too, but at least top panel comes as one-piece. Here you can also see main gun barrel.

Overall parts count is quite impressive, but in some cases parts are so tiny that it will be very interesting how to get them in place. Molding quality looks fine on all frames.

Vinyl tires is another thing you won't be able to avoid. Well, maybe you can find aftermarket resin which will help with a better appearance.

Small PE fret is another nice surprise which should be useful. As long as you brave enough to install all those tiny bits. :)

Decals sheet looks okay and features symbols for several options. You can see them on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New tiny Puma should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who don't have space for the bigger kit. Yes, the scale has its own requirements to your eyesight, but I guess this is somewhat expected from such kit. Overall quality looks great, and I think it should be easy to assemble too.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • PE included
