Miniart 1/35 US Radio Set SCR-299 (35455)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 US Radio Set SCR-299 (35455). As the name suggests, one box will bring you radio install which might be handy for some diorama project. You could have seen this setup in the previous radio truck kit, but now it is supplied as separate product. Boxart shows plenty of items included, so it will be interesting to see them closer. Packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames are sealed into one plastic bag.

We start with large cases for the equipment. Note that they are molded as single-piece parts and such design can make assembly a bit quicker.

Boxart also shows special seats for workers, and here are the parts you will need. Overall sculpting looks convincing, and this item will benefit from careful paintwork.

Radio equipment is also nice with good surface details premolded out of the box. The only tricky part is to paint them all. :)

Miniart also provides small unpainted PE fret for some fine features on the radio set. You can see the size of the parts relative to my fingertips.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so don't worry about any quality issues. Assembly manual is printed on the separate printout.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to have a nice diorama in popular scale. Moreover, I hope that we will see suitable figurines, so that scene might look even more interesting and complete.
