Master Box 1/35 Polizei Kubelsitzwagen (MB35101)

This time we are going to check together Master Box 1/35 Polizei Kubelsitzwagen (35101). Kit comes as a reissue of quite unusual car in popular scale. Such thing might be interesting for some diorama ideas, so I decided to take a closer look in the article. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open them and first check in the video, and then on the photos.

First frame carries parts for the folded roof version as well as some interior bits and even dashboard. Molding quality looks fine, but you might find a bit of flash here and there.

On the next frame we get one-piece chassis as well as some suspension parts. Parts division makes sense and should be easy to work with.

Yes, engine is also here. It offers a lot of features out of the box and might be handy for some diorama ideas.

I like the fact that Master Box offers two bonnet options, and it is possible to open it and expose what is inside. It can be a good idea also to add some wiring as per your references.

Another build option - closed roof. It is molded as one-piece part, so you won't have to deal with separate bits. Floor panel is also a one part, but be careful with those attachment points as the part is quite heavy.

Rubber or vinyl tires is not my most favorite thing. I would recommend to find some resin replacement for a better appearance.

Clear frame is not packed into a separate plastic bag and there are no masks in the kit. Nevertheless, molding quality looks fine out of the box.

Decals have plates for several options and printing quality looks good. You can see markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is printed in black-and-white. I show all pages in the video-review.

New/old car model should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is still a decent offering from the well-known brand. Yes, some parts show their age, but overall idea and design should turn into a great build. Moreover, it is cool to see several assembly options included. Add some figurines and base, and you will get a nice diorama project in popular scale.
