ICM 1/24 Type G4 with MG 34 and German Staff Personnel (24024)

Today we are going to take a look at ICM 1/24 Type G4 with MG 34 and German Staff Personnel (24024). As the name suggests, one box brings you several kits which can turn into a diorama project. Car was released as separate kit before, but now we finally get figures in the same scale. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all parts are packed into resealable bags. There are 215+18 parts for G4 car and 32 parts for three figurines.
By the way, here you can read review with Partisanenwagen in the same scale.

We are going to start with car parts first. Here you can see some of the suspension parts as well as wheel rims.

Large engine block should be glued out of two halves. Note also folded roof, as today's car should be assembled in this version.

Large radiator grille can be found on the next frame. Headlamps mask is molded as single-piece element and will require careful handling.

Vehicle chassis is molded as one large element, and such design might come handy in assembly process.

Yes, bonnet is molded as single-piece part, but assembly manual shows the possible "conversion" for open variant. All doors are molded closed and this is not a problem as roof will be folded.

Interior cards are molded separately and look great out of the box. I think interior here deserves a bit more time as it will be visible on the assembled model.

MG 34 setup is supplied on separate frames. Overall quality looks great, and it should be easy to install this on the car.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks in the set.

Yes, there are vinyl tires, but they look okay for out of the box project.

All figures are molded on one sprue. Overall quality looks great, but here you get slightly different parts division in comparison with 1/35 option.

Decals come on the small sheet, printing quality looks great. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New combo-set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to work in bigger size. Moreover, out of the box quality looks great, and you just need to assemble everything together. There is also quite a space for additional features if you are eager to add more details. :)

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Good decals

Cons

  • No masks for clear parts
